Graph Axis, and having both bars and lines within the same card
You may have a card that has a table with multiple metrics present on it such as sales, and % change compared to another sales period, but it may not work if you were to turn it into a line chart or a bar chart. Here is the example card in question below:
If we were to change the format to a Bar Chart, we would lose the reporting of the WoW % metric as the axis are not compatible:
To fix this you need to change the “Chart Options” of the card:
First, you will need to enable the right axis as they are disabled by default, and change the Formatter to percent
Next, you need to expand the Chart Data Options:
The issue at hand is that revenue amounts do not sit well besides a % comparison representation. To fix this we will need to change the bottom “WoW” field from “Left Axis” to “Right Axis”. This will be the result:
If you then also wanted to use both lines and bars within the same card, and play around with the fill, under the Chart Data options, you can force a value field to be either a line or a bar. Here is an example of the report above getting changed to the following:
As a result we would get the following change in the report:
