How Do I Compare Lightspeed O Series Data to Data in Tenzo?

Compare against your Lightspeed sales summary for a single day, across all sites. Tenzo's total sales, transaction count, average sale, refund count and refund total should match it exactly, as should the net total after refunds.

A few things to keep in mind when the numbers look different:

  • Use a completed day. Tenzo imports completed orders only, so a day still in progress will not agree until trading has finished.
  • Open orders are not counted. Tabs still open on the till appear in Lightspeed's live figures but are not sales yet, so Tenzo excludes them.
  • Sales totals include tax. Compare against a tax-inclusive figure in Lightspeed.
  • Refunds are shown separately. A refund is a whole order with a negative total; Tenzo reports it as a refund rather than reducing the sales figure, so check both lines when reconciling.
  • Hourly and "best of" summaries may differ. Some Lightspeed dashboard cards average over a different period than the day you selected, so the daily totals are the reliable comparison.
